The First Annual Savannah Camellia Festival

February 24th, 2024

Camellias bring our community together, come out for a day of family fun and beautiful flowers!

The Savannah Camellia Festival is an annual all-day festival in February celebrating the history and presence of the Camellia flower in Chatham County. The day kicks off with a 5k Run/Walk coordinated by Savannah Recreation and Leisure Services followed by performances, kids activities, vendors, and more at Cohen’s Retreat. Hobbes Hill Farm will have a variety of plant sales available throughout the festival, offering gardeners an opportunity to purchase the beautiful flowers we are celebrating!

The festival is also host to the Coastal Georgia Camellia Society’s annual statewide bloom show; a camellia bloom competition judged by size, color, form and condition. The bloom show is open to everyone — the Coastal Georgia Camellia Society even offers assistance prejudging to anyone needing bloom-prep guidance.

There’s something for all ages and interests!
